Turning pictures into stories and stories into pictures.

Katherine Loosley is a drawer, a daydreamer and a lover of stories. Based in Surrey, England, the 27 year old illustrator has had a fascination with visual storytelling from a young age. Her natural compulsion to draw led her to take an illustration degree at the Arts University Bournemouth and since graduating has worked for over 2 years in the video/animation industry.

She is currently working as a freelance illustrator alongside another job. She works in book illustration, storyboarding, character design and logo design. She can also work on private commissions for portraits, gifts or cards!

Katherine is keen to reach people of all ages through words and pictures. Contrasting themes of imagination and reality are predominant in her work. Taking inspiration from the real world as well as films and fantasy fiction, she likes to create characters and other worlds with paint, ink and pencil. She also works digitally and likes to paint with Photoshop and Illustrator.

As well as drawing she has a love for dance, reading, eating Vegan food and has a slight addiction to raisins.
